Celeste Landing
1717 Religious Street, New Orleans, Louisiana
Historic Rehabilitation & New Construction - Completed 2024
The Celeste Landing project team utilized 9% Low Income Housing Tax Credits and State & Federal Historic Tax Credits to bring 28 new affordable apartments into the New Orleans housing market, for a property total of 46 apartments. This site has historically been used as manufacturing space for a variety of companies hoping to make use of the proximity to transit opportunities nearby. The historic structure had been mindfully renovated and expanded to return the building to it’s pre-Katrina footprint. Nowadays, the residents of Celeste Landing are equally situated to take advantage of the site’s proximity to transit, retail, and social opportunities in the surrounding Lower Garden District.
