Atrium Housing, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit affordable housing developer with the mission to enhance our communities and residents’ lives by addressing the intersection of housing affordability and supportive social service demand.
Through the development, acquisition, and operation of high-quality long-term affordable housing, Atrium deeply invests in the success of our residents and communities. We work to use the stability of affordable housing as a pathway to create success and independence for our residents, catalyzing change in their lives and the lives of future generations.
Being a dedicated mission-driven nonprofit, Atrium Housing commits a portion of its developer fee towards the social service programs. The goal of this social service program is to address the intersection of needs which may keep residents dependent on affordable housing programs. Atrium approaches affordable housing development holistically and recognizes that factors which keep residents in the cycle of poverty extend beyond the cost burden of housing. It is our goal that the combined support of social service programs and safe, stable, and affordable housing be a vehicle through which communities elevate their quality of life and residents break free from the cycle of chronic poverty.
Atrium’s primary service area is the Gulf Coast, from Texas to Florida, as well as select surrounding states and parts of the Midwest. We currently have offices in New Orleans, LA and St. Petersburg, FL.

Atrium Housing offers LIHTC development experience from concept to occupancy; including new construction, acquisition & rehab, historic preservation, and naturally occuring affordable housing.
We seek to partner with nonprofits and community groups that are familiar with their neighborhood’s needs & challenges. We offer development expertise, access to capital, ability to provide guarantees, and familiarity with Tax Credit programs, including Low Income Housing, Historic, and New Markets.

Atrium Housing is currently developing a social service program for residents of affordable multi-family communities. We will be providing services for our properties, as well as those of our partner nonprofits.

Atrium Housing acquires multi-family properties in order to preserve, improve, and increase the affordable housing stock in our communities. This may include vacant land, properties both with and without with existing affordability commitments, HAP projects, and GP/LP interests in LIHTC projects. AHI has the financial capacity & experience to close quickly on property. There may also be tax benefits donating a portion of the property to AHI.
